Tawhid is a tool built to help you worship, not an authority to be followed blindly. This page sets out plainly where the app's limits are, so you know when to check with your mosque, your scholar, or your doctor instead.
Tawhid is provided as an aid to worship. We build it carefully and correct errors quickly, but no app can carry the responsibility that rests on you as a worshipper. Where a matter is important — the validity of a prayer, a fast, a fatwa — verify with a knowledgeable person you trust.
Prayer times in Tawhid are calculated, not observed. They depend on your device's reported location, the calculation method and juristic school selected, your elevation, and your time zone.
Several things legitimately shift them:
Your local mosque's timetable is the authority for your community. Where Tawhid and your mosque disagree, follow your mosque.
The Qibla bearing is computed from your location as a great-circle direction to the Ka'bah, and displayed using your device's magnetometer.
Compasses are easily disturbed. Metal furniture, reinforced concrete, speakers, magnetic phone cases and car dashboards all deflect the reading, and an uncalibrated sensor can be wrong by a wide margin. Calibrate your device, stand clear of metal, and where possible confirm against the mihrab of a local mosque.
A prayer is not invalidated by an honest mistake in direction where you tried your best — but do not rely on a phone compass alone when a known mihrab is available.
Hijri dates shown in Tawhid follow a calculated calendar. Many communities begin months by local moon sighting, which can differ from calculation by a day in either direction.
The start of Ramadan, the day of Eid, and the day of Arafah should be taken from your local moon-sighting authority — never from this app alone. The app offers a Hijri adjustment setting so you can align it with your community.
Prayer notifications depend on your operating system permitting them. Battery optimisation, Focus and Do Not Disturb modes, silent switches, background restrictions and app force-quits can all delay or suppress a notification, and these are outside our control.
Please do not treat the adhan notification as your only means of knowing a prayer has entered.
The Arabic text is sourced from established digital Qur'an projects and reviewed, but we cannot guarantee it is free of rendering or transcription error on every device and font combination.
A translation is not the Qur'an. Every translation carries the understanding, madhhab and limits of its translator. Translations differ, sometimes materially. Where a translation and the Arabic differ in your understanding, the Arabic is the Qur'an and the translation is a human attempt to convey its meaning.

Tafsir works included in Tawhid represent the views of their authors and the schools they belong to. They are offered so you may read them, not as our endorsement of every position within them.
Hadith are presented with their collection, book and chapter reference so they can be checked against the original. We do not supply gradings of authenticity for every narration, and the presence of a hadith in the app is not a claim about its strength. Scholars differ on the grading of many narrations.
Nothing in Tawhid is a fatwa. The app does not issue rulings, and no content in it is a substitute for a qualified scholar who knows your circumstances, your madhhab and your local context.
Where the app offers a choice — a calculation method, a juristic school, a midnight rule — it is presenting recognised positions so you can follow the one your scholar or community follows. It is not telling you which is correct.
The For Sisters feature helps you record days of hayd and nifas so the app can adjust prayer tracking and note fasts to be made up. It exists for worship, not for health.
For anything concerning your health, speak to a doctor. For rulings on purity, prayer and fasting during your cycle, speak to a scholar.
Mosque, restaurant and other place listings come from third-party mapping data. We do not visit, inspect or certify them.
A place appearing in Tawhid is not a halal certification. Opening hours, prayer facilities, ownership and halal status change, and the underlying data is often out of date. Verify directly with the establishment, and satisfy yourself as to the halal status of what you eat.
Radio channels and live video stream from the broadcasters' own servers. We do not host, record or edit them, and we do not control or review what is said on them.
Views expressed by broadcasters, presenters and speakers are their own and are not endorsed by Tawhid. Availability depends entirely on the broadcaster.
Where Tawhid lets users post, reply or share, that content is written by users and is not reviewed, verified or endorsed by us. Religious claims made by users may be mistaken.
