The app interface is currently in English only (no RTL support yet). However, Quran translations are available in 50+ languages including Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, and many others. We're working on adding more language options for the interface in future updates.

Prayer Times & Azan

Prayer times are calculated using reliable Islamic conventions (ISNA, MWL, Egyptian, Umm al-Qura, etc.) based on your GPS location. The calculations account for your latitude, longitude, time zone, and the selected calculation method. You can also manually adjust times if your local mosque uses slightly different timings.

  1. Check notification permissions: Go to your device Settings > Apps > Tawhid > Notifications and ensure notifications are enabled
  2. Check battery optimization: Some devices may restrict notifications to save battery. Disable battery optimization for Tawhid
  3. Ensure "Do Not Disturb" mode is not active during prayer times
  4. Verify Azan settings: Go to Settings > Prayer Times > Adhan Settings and ensure Azan is not set to "No Notification"
  5. Restart the app if issues persist
If problems continue, email us at info@tauhidapp.com.

Go to Settings > Prayer Times > Prayer Time Conventions. You can choose from multiple methods including ISNA (recommended for North America), MWL (Muslim World League), Egyptian, Umm al-Qura (Saudi Arabia), Karachi, and others. Select the method that matches your region or school of thought.

Yes, you can customize Azan voices for each prayer. Go to Settings > Prayer Times > Adhan Settings. You'll see options for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. Each prayer can have a different Adhan voice selected from available options like "Adhan Al Haram Al Madade", "Nasser Al Abd Al Jabar", and others.

Pre-Adhan reminders alert you a certain number of minutes before the actual prayer time (e.g., 5, 10, or 15 minutes before). This helps you prepare for prayer. Post-Adhan reminders alert you after the prayer time, useful if you missed the initial Azan. You can set different reminder times for each prayer in Settings > Prayer Times > Adhan Settings.

Go to Settings > Prayer Times > Manual Correction. You'll see values for each prayer (Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha). Use positive numbers to add minutes or negative numbers to subtract minutes. This is useful if your local mosque times differ slightly from the calculated times.

Quran Features

Tawhid offers 50+ translations in multiple languages including English (Sahih International, Yusuf Ali, Pickthall, etc.), Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Pashto, Albanian, Azerbaijani, Bosnian, French, Spanish, Turkish, Indonesian, Malay, and many more. New translations are added regularly.

Yes! The Arabic Quran text works completely offline. For translations, you need to download them first. Go to Settings > Quran Settings > Translation, select a translation, and tap the download icon. Once downloaded, you can read Quran with that translation offline. Audio recitations also need to be downloaded for offline listening.

Tawhid offers audio recitations by renowned qaris including Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais (Imam of Grand Mosque, Makkah), Maher al-Mu'aiqly, Mishary Rashid Alafasy, and many others. You can select your preferred reciter from the Listen section. Some reciters may require internet connection for streaming.

Go to Settings > Quran Settings > Quran Arabic Text. Swipe left or right to browse different script styles including Uthmani Script (Madani Mushaf), Indo-Pak Mushaf (Naskh), and others. Each script shows a preview. Tap to select your preferred style. You can also adjust the Arabic font size using the slider.

Go to Settings > Quran Settings > Display Properties > Transliteration. Toggle on "Display Transliteration Text". Adjust the font size if needed. Transliteration will appear below the Arabic text, showing pronunciation in Latin script. This is especially helpful for those learning to read Arabic.

Yes! Tap the three dots next to any verse and select "Bookmark". You can also tap the bookmark icon in the top navigation bar. Access all your bookmarked verses from the bookmarks section. Bookmarks are saved locally on your device and work offline.

Tap the Search icon in the bottom navigation. You can search in Arabic text, transliteration, or translation. Use search filters to narrow results. Examples: Type Arabic text directly, use "surah:50" to search within a specific surah, or "verse:22-24" for a verse range. Search works offline for downloaded content.

Tawhid offers 12+ beautiful Quran themes including default green theme, parchment theme, dark theme, Arabic calligraphy theme, and more. Go to Settings > Quran Settings > Display Properties > Quran Theme to browse and select themes. Some themes may be locked and require unlock.

Qibla Finder

Open the Qibla feature from the home screen. Allow location access when prompted. Calibrate your compass by moving your device in a figure-8 motion for 10-15 seconds. The Kaaba icon on the compass will show the direction to Makkah. Point your device in that direction - when "Device's Angle to Qibla" shows 0°, you're facing Qibla.

Yes, after the initial location setup (which requires GPS/internet), the Qibla compass works completely offline. The map view requires internet, but the compass direction works offline. You can also manually set your location for offline use.

Tawhid's Qibla finder is highly accurate, using GPS coordinates and great circle calculations. Accuracy depends on GPS signal strength (better outdoors), compass calibration, and device quality. For most users, accuracy is within 1-2 degrees, which is sufficient for prayer. Always calibrate your compass before use.

  1. Recalibrate: Move your device in a figure-8 motion slowly for 10-15 seconds
  2. Avoid magnetic interference: Keep device away from metal objects, magnets, electronics, and cars
  3. Hold device flat: Keep device horizontal for accurate reading
  4. Check location: Ensure your location is set correctly
  5. Use map view: Verify direction using the Qibla map feature
  6. Restart app: Close and reopen the app if issues persist

The Qibla map shows your location and a green arc (great circle route) connecting to Makkah. This visual representation helps you understand the Qibla direction. The green arc shows the shortest path to Makkah on a sphere, which may appear curved on flat maps. Tap "Open Qibla Map" from the compass screen to view it.
