By downloading, accessing, or using Tawhid, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and TAWHID DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES INC. (“Tawhid”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated under the laws of British Columbia, Canada under Incorporation No. BC1599227, with its registered office at:
5050 Halifax Street, Unit 906They govern your use of the Tawhid – Muslim & Quran Pro mobile applications, the website at tawhidapp.com, and any related tools, widgets, and content (together, the “Services”).
You may use the Services if you are able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are a minor, you may use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
You may not use the Services if you are located in, or are a national or resident of, a country subject to a comprehensive Canadian or United States trade embargo, or if you are listed on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Tawhid provides Islamic worship tools including prayer times, Qibla direction, the Quran with translations and recitations, Hadith collections, duas, an Islamic (Hijri) calendar, a Tasbih counter, a Zakat calculator, and related reference content.
The core Services are provided free of charge, and we do not require an account for most features. We may introduce optional paid features in future; if we do, the core features described above will remain free and any charge will be made clear before you pay.
We carry no third-party advertising and use no advertising networks. The Services may occasionally display our own promotions for our own features. These are not targeted using your personal data and do not involve advertising identifiers — see our Privacy Policy.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to download and use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial religious and educational use.
This licence does not permit you to, and you agree not to: copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Services; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law; rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the Services; or remove or obscure any proprietary notices.

This is important, so please read it carefully.
Prayer times, Qibla direction, and Hijri dates in the Services are calculated estimates. They are derived from your device location, astronomical formulas, and the calculation method and juristic settings you select. They can be affected by GPS accuracy, device sensor calibration (particularly the magnetometer used for Qibla), elevation, time zone and daylight-saving data, and the calculation convention chosen.
Results may differ from those announced by your local mosque or religious authority. Where there is a difference, you should follow your local mosque or religious authority. We provide these tools as an aid to worship, not as a religious ruling (fatwa) or an authoritative determination.
We take the accuracy of the Quran, Hadith, duas, and adhkar in the Services seriously, but:
Zakat calculations are a simplified aid and are not financial, tax, or religious advice — consult a qualified scholar or advisor for your circumstances.
If you find an error in any religious content, please report it to info@tawhidapp.com. We treat corrections to Quranic and Hadith content as our highest priority.

Much of what the Services deliver — Quran text, translations, tafsir, recitations, Hadith collections, and live radio — is the work of other people and institutions, used with their permission or under the terms they publish. Those sources are named on our Content Sources & Credits page, and their own rights and terms continue to apply to their work.
Radio channels and live video stream from the broadcasters' own servers. We do not host, record, or redistribute those broadcasts, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
If you hold rights to material used in the Services and want it credited differently or removed, write to info@tawhidapp.com and we will act promptly.
The Services are free. You may choose to make a voluntary financial contribution to support development and hosting through our Support page.
Contributions are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your payment is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.
If you select a monthly contribution, you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method the selected amount each month until you cancel.
The apps are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use is also subject to the applicable store's terms.
Apple-specific terms. You acknowledge that: these Terms are between you and TAWHID DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES INC. only, and not with Apple Inc.; we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the iOS app and its content; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the iOS app; in the event the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the iOS app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, and consumer protection claims; we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim relating to the iOS app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.
Other third parties. The Services rely on third-party providers (for example Google Firebase for crash reporting and analytics, hosting and CDN providers, and mapping or geolocation providers). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services linked from the Services. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared with these providers.
The Services, including the software, design, user interface, logo, name “Tawhid”, compilations, and original written content, are owned by TAWHID DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES INC. and are protected by copyright, trade-mark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The Quran, Hadith, and classical Islamic texts are not claimed as our property. Third-party translations, recitations, fonts, and datasets remain the property of their respective owners and are used under licence or on the terms under which they are made available.
Content you create in the app (bookmarks, notes, Tasbih counts, settings) belongs to you. Where it is stored on your device, we do not access it.
If you send us suggestions, feature ideas, corrections, or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it to improve the Services, without obligation to compensate or credit you. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It forms part of these Terms. Location data is used to calculate prayer times, Qibla, and nearby places, and is requested only with your permission.
We aim to keep the Services available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice in the app or on the website where practical.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
We do not warrant that prayer times, Qibla direction, Hijri dates, or any religious content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your circumstances. See section 7.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or of implied consumer guarantees. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and you may have rights that these Terms cannot limit.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TAWHID DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES INC., its directors, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or religious observance opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Services, however caused and on any theory of liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you contributed to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TAWHID DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES INC. and its directors, officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own negligence or wilful misconduct.
You may stop using the Services and uninstall the apps at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Services to you would expose us or other users to risk. Sections 7, 12, 13, and 16 through 21 survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. For changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we will provide more prominent notice in the app or on the website before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. Previous versions are available on request by emailing info@tawhidapp.com.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of British Columbia, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Services.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts and to the protection of your local mandatory consumer law, nothing in this section deprives you of those rights.
